With hot premix asphalt we use asphalt pavers or an experienced hand crew in applications for surfacing roads, complexes, office parks, malls, factories, mines, parking lots, driveways and airfields.
As an approved tarmac contractor in line with CSIR principles, our highly skilled team of operatives has worked on a wide range of developments with a top quality finish.

Chip and Spray
We provide chip and spray, which is a sprayed application of bituminous binder followed by a single layer of stone chipping, followed by a second spray application of bituminous binder and a single layer of smaller sized stone chipping or sand. Thus the above determines whether the application is a single or double layer.
The final layer of stone chipping is sometimes covered by a fog spray, which helps to prevent whip-off.
This is mainly done to provide:
- A waterproof cover to the underlying pavement
- A safe all-weather, dust-free riding surface for traffic with adequate skid resistance
- Protection to the underlying layer from the abrasive and destructive forces of traffic and the environment
- A Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) to prevent cracks from the underlying pavement reflecting through the new surfacing / overlays.
Slurry Seal
Slurry is a mixture of slow-set bitumen emulsion and graded crusher dust with the addition of cement and water. Slurry is ideal for resealing an
existing bituminous surface, which does not exhibit fatigue cracking.
